Steps to Implement the Benchmark Audit & Seamless Team Consulting
MONTH 1 - 1 day on site and 2 days offsite
- Conduct a "construction/state of the company rally" meeting
with all the Contractors and potentially with a percentage of
your key personnel.
- Overview of the recent past and discuss the future business opportunities
for the Builder and Contractors.
- Conduct the Benchmark Audit Survey
- Conduct focus groups with designated Trade Contractors and
staff. In
addition to the time with the Trade Contractors, we suggest having one
meeting with your internal staff members that are involved from "sale
to start", construction, and warranty. This focus group should include
representation from sales, the administrator(s) who review sales paperwork,
design center personnel, superintendents, customer service/warranty personnel
and whoever pulls permits or start packages together for the field and
the Trade Contractors. No management allowed in these two focus
groups, please.
MONTH 2 - 1 day on site and 2 days offsite
- Review the results of the Benchmark Audit (initial review in person
or by phone). Determine the number one goal to pursue. Discuss how
to incorporate
the findings and improvement goal from the BAS into the efforts
that your firm may already be pursuing.
- Agree on how to follow up on the audit (improvement Goals, outbound
correspondence, etc.).
- Provide assistance where necessary.
- Agree on how to follow up and follow through on the number one improvement
goal.
